Random Shots

The Architect gets a work out from 'Echo November'!
The boy has got moves. I stood him up today in the cockpit of a Hawker 800 and he tried to make a dash for the left seat!
Uncle 'Favorite' has been there before. Ya gotta be quicker'n that my boy.
He looked better in the left seat of the King Air 350 anyway!!! Hopefully Marge will send us some photos of Echo's visit to the hangar soon.

Challenged By A Bug!!!
This big guy stopped by the get together at the Homestead yesterday. I was trying to coax him on up to the top of the hot tub, he was headed that way anyway. He fell to the deck and squared off with me. He whipped that tail up like a scorpion!

"No, it doesn't matter, Favorite Uncle or not, you're not getting my truck!"

"... 747 coming outta tha sky..." OK, I think the song goes, 737 coming outta the sky, but what the heck. We don't see many 74's coming into San Antonio.
I looked to the North yesterday afternoon and saw this big guy coming in.
My first thought was, "Uh, Buddy, you got the right airport?"
Of course I didn't have the camera then. I caught a few shots of him departing. I was shocked and proud of how this shot came out. Keep in mind he was well over a mile away from me as I shot this.

Dinner at the Apartamentito...

Ya gotta eat good when you're preparing for a SWEEP!

SPURS are up by 6. I'm switching back and forth between CSI, now Shark and the game.

I had the Folks over for a carnivorous feast. Dogs, links, ribs and game hen. Oh, there were vege's too. Also, a wasabi guacamole. Good Stuff!!

Whilst foraging for tonight's dinner I found some CD's at the Dollar store. Who'da-Thunk-It!!!

How have I missed out on this guy all these years? Omar and the Howlers. Very, very cool.

Here's something for feedback, maybe...

I dreamed about a white wolf pup last night. He was here in the apartment. Calm and docile. Anxious though. Any idea what the hell that means?!

I have no idea what made me think of that but there it is.

I'm going to go back and try to load the photo's of the 'Boogie-villa' at the Homestead. Bougainvillea? Is that it? I've got a bunch of pic's of Echo from yesterday too. I tried to upload them... Well, they're not here are they. (Cursing Deleted.)

They're not enjoying it are they?

Don't talk with your mouth full!!!

Mi Bujo!!!

I was prowling around the yard at the Homestead taking pictures when my phone buzzed. I damned near dropped the camera. I whipped the phone off of my hip quick enough to scare Doc Holiday only to see that it was Mother calling from inside the house.

'I'm in your backyard. Why not just open the door and holler?' I'm thinking to mself,

"Yes?"

"The Owl."

"Yes?"

"He's in the tree outside the kitchen window. I think he's looking at you."

Sure as Hootin'!!! I can't believe how close he let me get, within eight or ten feet. I must have taken 40 photos. He'd drift from limb to limb and tree to tree. At each stop he'd look back at me. I really hope I didn't stress him. I was just so excited to get up close and get it on film.

Live From Casbeer's

I finally made it. To understand that you would have to read the looong rambling, sleep deprived thing I wrote this morning and saved to a Word file. I may or may not post it later.

www.casbeers.com

Check it out. The website isn't flashy or anything but that goes with the territory. It's not a flashy place or flashy part of town.

The place has a history. The walls are covered with black and white photographs of bands and singers.

I sat at a random booth. From here I can see photos with unusual names like; The Clumsy Lovers, Cave Catt Sammy, Beaver Nelson, and Eleven Hundred Springs.

There are more familiar ones too; Reckless Kelly, Joe King Carrasco and Clarence Gatemouth Brown.

Those are just random samples! All autographed and all, presumably have played here.

My enchiladas should arrive momentarily so I'm gonna publish this.
(That reminds me, I really should post this morning's depravity. It's pertinent. So far today the service has been great in here. A damn fine change from my experiences of late!!!)

One for the Ladies

stopped by the Homestead this morning and got a Quilt Update.

Mother has been taking weekly lessons. I honestly thought she already knew how to do this stuff.

(I'm getting another blogger/ photo lesson so bear with, OK?)

The photo upper left is a detail of one of the corner panels, upper right are the components laid out in future form and the last one is a detail of the center panel.

I should get some shots of the one she made for us as well as the (several) other ones she has in work at the moment.

OK, this boogie is turning into a mess. The script doesn't fit the photographs. I'm not gonna try (again) to fix it. I've inadvertantly deleted the photos about 3 times. Don't confuse the afghan with the quilt. It's just there to keep things from sliding around so much.

If you know quilts then ya get it. If you don't, don't sweat it.

I'll post something else soon. I'm at Casbeer's and on battery power. I don't want to use it all trying to post this.
